You did it!
We just reached the goal for our "March Match Campaign." We raised USD $10,000 from our supporters and that was all matched by our two generous sponsors. The result is that an additional USD $20,000 will be devoted to badly needed water projects in the Upper Río Laja Watershed Region. Thank You! We couldn’t have done it without you.
Dear supporter,
I'd like to take the opportunity to express my deepest appreciation for your continuing support.
Your commitment will allow people like Cristina, pictured above, to have reliable access to clean and safe water. Cristina comes from the rural community of El Fraile within the Municipality of San Miguel de Allende, where the rapidly growing agricultural industry has severely affected the community's water supply – causing the community's well to completely dry up and actually collapse in on itself. The water that was then being trucked in after the well collapsed was contaminated with excessive levels of arsenic and fluoride. All of this created serious water issues for the community. If Caminos de Agua wasn’t able to help the community organize and build the needed rainwater harvesting systems for the affected families, they could be facing devastating health impacts today.
Thanks to both the incredible generosity of our sponsors – Chip & Lucy Swab and Bob & Peggy Krist – and your support, we've reached this match campaign's goal. Together, we're changing lives in many communities like El Fraile.
